Datacenter Networking Subject Matter Expert

NTCS LLC is seeking a Datacenter Networking subject matter expert.  The candidate must be highly qualified, have good written and verbal communication skills.  Specific Job duties and responsibilities include the following:

·      Provide overall subject matter expertise for networking technologies

·      Provide recommendations for improvements or changes of the established baseline

o   Includes networking, virtualization, compute vendor selection, storage sub-systems and/or protocols

·      Implement changes due to new projects or proactive changes to improve the operating condition of the network

·      Provide tier-3 operational support

·      Work on new requirements and recommend new hardware, software, and configurations to meet the new requirement

·      Test and implement new capabilities such as software defined networking, new compute hardware connectivity (25gbps, 50gbps, etc), and storage connectivity

·      Interact with other service lanes to ensure full delivery of a proposed solution such as virtualization, storage, OS delivery, etc.

·      Use automation capabilities such as Ansible, puppet, chef, etc. to automate and streamline configuration and data gathering tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·      Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or compensatory experience

·      10+ years of relevant experience

·      In-depth knowledge of Cisco and Juniper switching and routing products

·      Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, and other networking appliances

·      Expert level experience in datacenter networking protocols and topologies

·      Familiarity with SDN overlay concepts such as VxLAN

·      Experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF

·      Experience with perl, python, or other scripting languages desired

·      Excellent communication, presentation and design abilities
