VMWare Subject Matter Expert

NTCS LLC is seeking a VMWare subject matter expert.  The candidate must be highly qualified, have good written and verbal communication skills, and worked on large scale virtualization projects in the past.  Specific Job duties and responsibilities include the following:

·      Provide overall subject matter expertise for virtualization technologies

·      Provide recommendations for improvements or changes of the established baseline

o   Includes virtualization, compute vendor selection, storage sub-systems and/or protocols

·      Implement changes due to new projects or proactive changes to improve the operating condition of the virtualization infrastructure

·      Provide tier-3 operational support for the virtualization infrastructure

·      Work on new requirements and recommend new hardware, software, and configurations to meet the new requirement

·      Test and implement new capabilities such as software defined networking, new compute hardware, and storage connectivity

·      Interact with other service lanes to ensure full delivery of a proposed solution such as datacenter networking, storage, OS delivery, etc.

·      Use automation capabilities such as vRealize Automation, Ansible, puppet, chef, etc. to automate and streamline tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·      Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or compensatory experience

·      10+ years of relevant experience

·      Expert level experience in VMWare related virtualization products

·      Familiarity with Citrix VDI implementations

·      Excellent communication, presentation and design abilities

Recommended Certifications:

·      VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

·      VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)

·      VMware Certified Implementation Expert (VCIX)

·      VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX)
